Shin Yu is the recipient of a 2008 grant from 4 Culture for her poetry book Adamantine.

The Olympia Poetry Network awarded Shin Yu with the 2008 Jeanne Lohmann Poetry Award for her poem "Footprint."

A book release party for Haiku Not Bombs is planned for July 9 at the Pen & Cup series at Think Coffee in NYC.
